...a new community inspired pop-culture event for the Bay Area with a focus on local art projects spanning multiple mediums. HellaCon strives to provide a spotlight for independent artists, creative individuals, and entertainment initiatives with a Bay Area vibe and a "comic convention" atmosphere. This is HellaCon.
HellaCon Maestro, Co-Founder
Chad is a Bay Area native and jack of all trades. He has dipped his fingers in multiple art forms, from novel and song writing to acting and drawing. He is a long time Coen Brothers aficionado, hesitantly chooses Jedi over Empire, Green Lantern over Superman, and R.E.M./Billy Joel over all other music. After graduating from UCLA with a BA in American Literature & Culture, Chad moved back home to SF where he joined the tech industry workforce. Still embracing his artistic roots, he acts in the occasional short film, writes in any cafe he can find that stays open late, and most recently was a production assistant on the sci-fi mind bender, Coherence (2014). Most importantly, Chad takes pride in his new role as HellaCon Maestro!
HellaCon Empress, Co-Founder
Christina usually goes by "Stina" or if you're feeling really lazy she also will answer to "Stine". An inherited Trekkie on her father's side, Christina learned early on through Disney movies and Harry Potter the power of storytelling and well written characters. She spent four years at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco honing her storytelling skills in their film program. Now Christina is a freelance screenwriter, Whedonite, film critic, Whovian and HellaCon Empress!
